I love doing things in blocks of time.

It makes the long term goal more viable. Makes it tangible.
So starting February 12th 2010, I am going to do 3 things for 30 days:
- no junk food (toughest one)
- only drink water (still eating food, but only beverage is water)
- run everyday (I’m starting off at 1km a day and working up from there)
So we’ll see what happens.
What is something you want to do in the next 30 days but you’ve been putting it off?

I want to come by your office and drink a coke and eat Trans fats with Dean while you suffer with water -pay back for locking me out of the office!
How about going with only water for 40 days? Cool fundraising idea.
Hmmm… stuff I want to do that I’ve been putting off? Finish my first font, organize my office/media room, write some blog posts. I tend to procrastinate things.
bring it.
Yeah, I’m starting to realize if I start it and tell people I’m doing it, then it happens. Nothing worse than people asking if you did what you said and you didn’t
Very clever — buy radical (that’s right, radical) shoes, shoes so radical they could be called narly, and you’ll WANT to run just so the world around you can be blessed with their awesomeness. And as soon as you reach the half-way point you can yell, “Cowabunga!”
I actually started jogging a few weeks ago too. But I go every other day and walk the same amount of time on the others. The first day I nearly collapsed from lack of oxygen (and that was just getting up the stairs from my basement suite), but it gets better. Also amazing how much better I feel.
I’m also pretty sure I can see glimmers of a six pack. Ladies, watch out. This belly will be your doom.
