I had the chance to sit down for 2 hours this weekend and enjoy a great film. It’s been quite a while since I’ve last seen a film that I felt so inspired by. ‘One Week’ was captivating, inventive, funny and charming. I finished watching it and was forced to look at my own life. I still am, two days later.
Joshua Jackson was incredible. He played a man that was both humbled and confused from discovering his own mortality. He stumbled across a motorbike that he eventually bought and took us on a journey across the beautiful country of Canada. Both inspiring and beautifully shot, One Week has me thinking over what I would do if I only had one day, one week left to live.
There was a quote written on a chalk board at the end of the film that has stuck with me: “To Strive, to Seek, to Find, and not to Yield.” It’s a quote from Ulysses, which very much played a character throughout this film.
Michael McGowan wrote and directed ‘One Week’ and did a fabulous job. Witty, charming and thought provoking. A film that I will forever list as one that has helped me find myself and one that will inspire me in my goal to write, direct and act.

Can’t wait to watch it.
Yeah you have intrigued me with your review.
